Text Rex NYC Captain

As Text Rex captain, I responded to over 20K text message requests with restaurant and bar recommendations to the people of NYC. My love for this could not be overstated; it was quite literally my dream side hustle. Each week I compiled a recap of trends, recommendations, and creative ideas to send over to the product and editorial teams based on conversational insights. Ultimately, I was tasked with the practical role of ensuring all shifts were filled, as well as monitoring Rexers’ conversations to ensure consistency and quality. Beyond this, I took the initiative to create a unique monthly newsletter to engage my team of 12 NYC Rexers (examples below). I was always looking for ways to lend a hand to the Infatuation community where I could. Over the last two years I was asked to assist at EEEEEATSCON in Forest Hills, as well as countless other FOTI local partnership events in NYC where I would work the door and eat free appetizers. Basically, for this job to be rendered obsolete, every dining establishment in NYC would have to close for an indefinite period of time, causing an unprecedented shift in the restaurant space for the foreseeable future. And, well, here we are.
